Miracles Do Happen
The Refugee Resettlement Team#2 is looking for a home to rent for a Syrian family who recently arrived in the area. Temporary housing is open to them for a few weeks, but a more permanent place is needed. The family will be joining friends from Jordan here in the San Gabriel Valley. Their 17 year-old daughter has a spinal injury from the war. A standard walk-up apartment is not feasible for this family. A team member will build a wheelchair ramp. A team member leads the furniture coordination, an educator is organizing school enrollment for the children, team activists researching employment for the father, and volunteers will provide transportation for the family to schools and medical appointments. All is good yet their rent needs to be paid. The family does have a small amount yet a subsidy is vital. Will you help?
Our team #2 asks that checks be made payable to Claremont Presbyterian Church*, 1111 N Mountain Ave, Claremont, CA 91711. Please write “Refugee Resettlement Team #2” or “RRT #2” in memo.
As Dr. Aswad states in his testimonial, “Please consider a generous tax deductible contribution to the Refugee Resettlement Team #2 in order to assist them in their laudable humanitarian efforts of helping our future citizens.”
